Welcome to Our School

On behalf of the children, staff and governors of Watton  Junior School- welcome to our new website! Whether you are already a member of our school community, a prospective member or indeed just browsing we hope that you find it interesting.

Watton Junior School is a happy, exciting and busy place.  Staff, parents and governors work together to create a school of which we are very proud.

We work closely with Westfield Infants and Wayland Community High School to provide continuity and progression for the children of Watton and the surrounding area.

Our large site provides a range of excellent facilities.  We have a well equipped sports hall and an extensive playing field.  Our spacious library has a good range of books and areas where children can work in groups.  ICT is taught in a suite containing twenty computers with further machines networked throughout the school.  Food technology and other practical activities take place in an additional classroom.  A separate dining hall is also used for drama and musical activities.

We have a dedicated, caring and highly skilled teaching staff.  They work in year group teams to plan and deliver the curriculum and develop our school.  Our excellent support staff ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the school.

A hard working PTA and governing body enable the school to be involved with our wider community.  The pupils are encouraged to participate in and support local events and organisations

Watton Junior School offers your child a secure and supportive environment in which to learn.  High standards of work and behaviour are expected of all who work at the school.  The school is committed to improve standards of attainment achieved by pupils.  We provide the opportunities and encouragement to allow all children, regardless of their ability to achieve their full potential
